LDN 1622 Boogeyman Nebula
A dark cloud near Barnard's Loop in Orion — quite unlike a typical dark nebula in how it presents. Set against the abundant Ha signal that fills this region, it becomes strikingly vivid after processing.
And the protruding shape in the middle looks just like a demon baring its fangs and claws. Delightfully sinister.
