About

I am Evan Tsai — many fellow astronomy enthusiasts call me “蔡大” (Tsai Da) — an astrophotography creator from Taiwan, with a long-standing focus on imaging and post-processing deep-sky objects. Since returning to astrophotography in 2019, I have continued to point my lens toward distant galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters, gathering light from deep space through long exposures and gradually revealing their colors, structures, and details in post-processing.
For me, astrophotography is not only a way of recording celestial objects, but also a way of understanding and interpreting the universe. From early planning and image acquisition through to post-processing, every piece of work calls for a constant weighing of scientific authenticity, technical execution, and visual beauty. Through this process, I have also been gradually finding my own way of seeing and my own creative language.
This website brings together the complete collection of my astrophotography work, and records years spent gazing at the universe, interpreting the universe, and presenting the universe. I hope these images let more people see the details of deep-sky objects, and feel that faint starlight which, after crossing vast distances and spans of time, finally reaches our eyes.
