Orion's Belt and Surroundings
The most difficult target I have processed in recent memory. The three bright stars in the frame are the Belt stars — Alnitak, Alnilam and Mintaka. The region is packed with emission nebulae, reflection nebulae and dark nebulae. The hardest parts: taming the massive halos around the three bright stars, and balancing the colors of all the different nebula types around them.
The framing is slightly off-center — a channel misregistration problem along the bottom forced a partial crop.
