Abell 3574 Galaxy Cluster in Centaurus
At the center of the frame is NGC 5291, about 200 million light-years from Earth. Fragments of gas around it have been flung far into intergalactic space: strung along a tidal tail stretching some 100,000 light-years are objects that resemble dwarf galaxies, yet lack old stars — instead they are filled with young stars and active star-forming regions.
Also worth noting: right beside NGC 5291 sits the "Seashell Galaxy", a likely intruder whose shape is strikingly reminiscent of a spiral shell.
